I started my career working in environmental surety with a company in Lexington, Kentucky. We wrote and managed reclamation bonds in Eastern Kentucky and elsewhere. I was the in-house attorney handling claims.
I moved into contract surety with a law firm here in Louisville in 1999 and then moved to that practice exclusively in 2009 when I joined a firm then known as Alber Crafton.
The bottom line is I have been handling construction matters (especially defective construction) for more than twenty years with most of my cases representing commercial sureties.
Since Alber Crafton closed its Louisville office in 2015, I have continued my practice but have expanded to include local contractors and, on occasion, homeowners.
